Catfish, 1-Day Fishing

Access to a private fishing pond, stocked with channel catfish.

Here’s how it works. It’s $10 per person (adults and children) to come fishing. The $10 goes toward the fish you catch. The fish are $4.50 per pound. So if you come fishing, you will have paid $10 via this shopping cart item. If you catch 2 fish that weigh a total of 2 pounds (2 lbs x $4.50/lbs = $9), you will not owe anything more. If you catch 10 lbs of fish (10 lbs x $4.50/lbs = $45), then when you weigh out after leaving, you will be charged the remaining $35. The fish weigh right around 1 pound. Some are less, some are more. As of the time of writing this (July 2020), the fish have been biting well around 5 p.m. with chicken liver on the bottom.

Parking is next to a dairy barn, and it’s about a 150 yard walk to the pond. There is no vehicle access to the pond. It’s expected that you will bring your own pole, tackle box, and bucket/basket. I will meet you and let you in the gate to access the pond, and when you’re done fishing, we’ll meet again and weigh the fish.
